This project delivered a major upgrade to the Wyong South Sewage Treatment Plant effluent disposal system, enhancing the reliability and operational performance of the Toukley Effluent Disposal Scheme and reducing the risk of wet-weather overflows to balance ponds. Key assets delivered included two new 375 kW high-capacity effluent disposal pumps, new stainless steel DN600 knife gate valves and actuators, upgraded pump station pipework and instrumentation, refurbished valve and flowmeter pits, automated penstock installations at Distribution Pits P9 and P12, new platforms, stairs, grating and access structures, and comprehensive SCADA, control and monitoring upgrades.
